Catching Redfish at Calcasieu Lake with Slick Water Bait Company's Shrimp Sauce Baits - 11-15-2025
A quick trip to Calcasieu Lake in Louisiana offers some of the best redfish fishing experiences in the region. This lake is known for its abundant redfish population and diverse fishing spots. On a recent outing, anglers found great success using custom baits from Slick Water Bait Company, especially those in the Shrimp Sauce color. These baits proved effective in attracting redfish, making the trip both productive and memorable.
The lake’s accessibility and variety of fishing environments make it a favorite among anglers who want to catch redfish without traveling far. Whether fishing from a boat or the shore, the lake offers plenty of opportunities to hook into strong, healthy redfish.
Anglers reported that the color Shrimp Sauce worked well on this trip. The natural shrimp color combined with a subtle scent helped trigger strikes even when the fish were less active. Sabine Shimmer, Salt 'N Line, Chartreuse Shimmy, and Laguna Berry all produced fish on this trip as well.
